This directory contains a set of student readable .pdf files that are
lecture notes for an introductory finance course based on my textbook, A
First Course in Finance, to be published by Addison-Wesley-Pearson.  The
files in this directory are (C) Ivo Welch, 2005.  All Rights Reserved.

I hereby grant permission for students and instructors---except authors and
individuals affiliated with text book publishers of other finance
textbooks--- to download and read these files.  The files come with
absolutely no support.

If you are a finance professor at an accredited university, you should also
obtain the source to these slides, and the readme file that gives class
timing suggestions and other information.  If you do obtain these files, you
will also get permission to alter these files (incl.  eliminating Ivo Welch's
name from the slides).

To prevent students from getting access to the instructor-package, please
send an email to ivo_welch@brown.edu that includes the following:

	* Your name
	* Your email address
	* Your university affiliation
	* Your university website---to ascertain that you are an instructor.
		(Yes, I have seen students masquerade to get the instructor's
		note for my fairly popular IPO teaching case, G-III).
	* One sentence that says that you are not currently authoring a finance
		textbook, and that you will read the readme.pdf file.  (Yes, 
		you can	author any number of textbooks in the future.)

In response, I will send you the the link to this zip file and the password.
